Naples is a coastal gem of a city located in Southwest Florida that has become a vacation and residential hotspot in the last decade.
This city is unlike any other on Florida’s Gulf Coast in terms of natural beauty and unbeatable amenities for locals and visitors alike. The beaches are pristine and the shopping malls are luxurious, but the real treat is when it’s time to have a meal out in a restaurant.
As a Southwest Florida native, I’ve spent plenty of time getting to know the restaurant scene from both sides of the experience, gaining perspective as either an employee or a patron, so I’ve been able to narrow down the best of the best places to eat in Naples, especially where seafood is concerned.
Check out my list below so you can enjoy the bounty of the sea the next time you find yourself in sun Naples, Florida.

Coming away with the number-one spot on my list is Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab. This should come as no surprise to anyone that’s had the pleasure of eating here before.
You can find Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab off of 4th Avenue South near the Sugden Community Theatre. It’s the perfect place to go see a play and then grab a resplendent dinner.
When you come to Truluck’s, you simply must get seafood, of course. I always try to visit Truluck’s during stone crab season for some of those unbeatable claws.
USS Nemo Restaurant

The next place I want to mention is called USS Nemo Restaurant and this one will truly blow you away like it did to me. You won’t find fresher seafood in the whole city, if you ask me.
When I go to USS Nemo, I always go for lunch, but the dinner menu is also spectacular. My go-to order is usually the black grouper sandwich because it’s one of my favorite types.
Check out USS Nemo off of Tamiami Trail North inside the Parkshore Centre shopping mall alongside some other great stores.
Swan River Seafood Restaurant & Fish Market

Up Next is Swan River Seafood Restaurant & Fish Market. What I love about this place is the fact that it’s not just a fantastic restaurant, it’s a full blown seafood market as well. Sometimes I prefer to cook my own fish, so this place is perfect for nights like that.
I highly recommend trying the littleneck clams or the cold water oysters as an appetizer to get you started.
After that, and maybe a couple of drinks, you should definitely try the yellowtail snapper or the mahi-mahi. It’s so fresh you can taste the ocean in every bite.
Sails Restaurant
301 5th Ave S, Naples, FL 34102

Sails restaurant is up next and it’s a 5th avenue favorite of mine that I always recommend to people who are visiting Naples and want an unforgettable experience.
This restaurant specializes in bringing the vibrant flavors of France right here to Southwest Florida and they have absolutely mastered their craft.
This place is high class and they only offer prix fixe menus, so you won’t have as much freedom of choice and you’re certainly not bringing your own fish.
The menu is always changing, but one thing is always certain here at Sails: the seafood is unbelievably fresh, prepared perfectly every time.
The Turtle Club
9225 Gulf Shore Dr, Naples, FL 34108

Now, we have The Turtle Club. You’re not going to want to miss out on this seafood adventure, that’s for sure.
The Turtle Club is located off of Gulf Shore Drive next to the Vanderbilt Beach & Harbour Club, directly situated on the white sugar sand shores of the Gulf of Mexico, overlooking the crystal clear waters. The view from your table at the Turtle Club is almost as stunning as the cuisine.
Of course, the seafood should be your number one priority when you come to The Turtle Club. All their fish and shellfish are locally-sourced and you can really tell the difference in freshness.
The Bay House Restaurant
799 Walkerbilt Rd, Naples, FL 34110

The Bay House is located off of Walkerbilt Road in Naples, right near the All Water Excursions Marina and the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel. It’s perfect for anyone staying in the area looking for some delicious seafood.
I love to come here for dinner because of the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is tucked away in the mangrove forest of the Naples back bays, so I highly recommend sitting outside when you come here to eat.
When it comes to seafood, I always suggest trying the whole Maine lobster because who doesn’t love a big lobster claw with lots of butter to dip it in?
Captain & Krewe Seafood Market & Raw Bar
629 8th St S, Naples, FL 34102

The next place I want to draw your attention towards is called Captain & Krewe Seafood Market & Raw Bar. This is not a place you want to skip if you’re in Naples and you’re in the mood for some amazingly fresh fish and shellfish.
I never come to Captain & Krewe Seafood Market & Raw Bar without ordering something from their fantastic raw bar. My personal preference is always oysters, of course, but literally everything on that menu is sublime.
Don’t forget to grab a few cocktails, too. Captain & Krewe Seafood Market & Raw Bar is a great place to treat yourself.
Sea Salt

This next seafood restaurant is called Sea Salt and they are just unbeatable. The great thing about Sea Salt is, well, everything! Seriously, this place is incredible from top to bottom.
Sea Salt serves some of the best ahi tuna tartare I’ve ever had, it just melts in your mouth. When I went there, I started with the ahi tuna tartare and then I went right for the swordfish milanese and it was phenomenal.
Look for Sea Salt off of 3rd Street South, right next to the Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar & Store. You can’t miss it!
The Claw Bar
221 9th St S, Naples, FL 34102
Phone: (239) 231-3912

The penultimate place of interest on my list is none other than The Claw Bar. Anyone who has dined here will tell you that this place is well worth a visit anytime.
The Claw Bar is located on 9th Street South in Downtown Naples, so there’s no shortage of fun activities and attractions for before and after your meal.
When you come to The Claw Bar, I strongly recommend a house martini to wet your whistle a bit, but then you should definitely consider trying the tripletail al pastor. It makes my mouth water just thinking about that dish.
BALEEN Naples
9891 Gulf Shore Dr, Naples, FL 34108
Phone: (239) 598-5707

Last, but by no means least, BALEEN Naples is a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. The cuisine here is sure to surpass any and all expecations you may have.
The thing I love most about BALEEN is that it’s located right inside of the LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort off of Gulf Shore Drive, so if you get too full from eating delicious seafood, you can just book a room!
I highly recommend trying the cold water oysters to get things started when you come here, but after that, you should definitely jump into an order of the blackened gulf grouper. It’s the Chef’s specialty.
Final Thoughts
Well, there you have it. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use this guide like a roadmap to lead you straight towards the seafood dinner of your dreams, complete with all the fresh fish and shellfish you can eat.
