This location is also very well-known for its Permit, as is the entire country of Belize really. It has a huge population of Permit, and they average at around 10 to 20 pounds. Cairns, Australia

Cairns, in Australia, is located in the North Queensland coast, and it is a beautiful paradise for travelers and anglers alike. The weather is amazing, and there is very easy access to the famous Great Barrier Reef.

Prince Edward Island, Canada

If you want to find two extremes in one single location, then Prince Edward Island, situated in Canada, is the fishing trip destination of your dreams.

In the winter the island gets hit by storms, wind, and blizzards, with everything covered by a thick layer of snow. In the summer, however, the island becomes a place of hot weather, where life thrives.

Watamu, Kenya

Kenya is a very well known destination for its wildlife safaris and large open grasslands, full of animals you would otherwise only ever see at a zoo.

However, it turns out that the Kenyan coast is also one of the best deep sea fishing grounds on earth, and it is becoming increasingly popular amongst anglers that plan destination fishing trips! 

In Watamu, you can find an insane amount of Billfish: Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Shortbill Spearfish, and many more. You can even fish for several different species, all within a day’s work!

It is basically a gold mine of Billfish, and the angler’s dream is to catch every single one in a single day! The best thing? This fish has caused an entire tourist industry to build around the area, as many anglers make the journey to this destination in order to attempt to catch a Taimen. Why?
