Renting Boats on Lake Wallenpaupack

Lake Wallenpaupack has no horsepower limit regulations for boaters. Boaters are limited to 45 miles per hour from sunrise to sunset on weekends and holidays from the Saturday before Memorial Day to Labor Day. Boats are also limited to 25 miles per hour between sunset and sunrise.  Safety regulations apply.

Children younger than 11 years old cannot drive a boat, and anyone born after January 1, 1982, must have a Boating Safety Education Certificate issued by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission or from another state. All motorboats must have a registration card issued by Pennsylvania, or by the state where the boat is used most frequently. All boaters must keep the registration card on-board when using the boat.
