All State Record Walleye Catches in America

Walleye are one of the most popular sport fishing species in North America sought after by millions of anglers every year.

When people think about Walleye, they usually think of northern states with bitterly harsh winters and bordering Canada like Minnesota and Wisconsin.   Walleye were once solely found in the Great Lakes region, as well as the Missouri and Mississippi River basins.

Walleye have been successfully introduced to almost 40 US states because to the hard effort of state fisheries management authorities and non-profit groups around the country!  This introduction has boosted walleye fishing and culture, ensuring that the next generation of anglers has a promising future.
