A Morning Trout Fishing the Wissahickon Creek

Join me on a peaceful early morning adventure to Wissahickon Creek, just outside of Philadelphia, where I set out with my fly rod to chase trout in one of the area’s most scenic spots. The sun was barely up, the mist was rising off the water, and the only sounds were birds chirping and the gentle flow of the creek. This is the kind of quiet start to the day that every angler lives for.

In this video, I walk you through my fly setup, talk about why Wissahickon Creek is such a special place for local trout fishing, and show off some of the beautiful runs and pools I like to target. Whether you’re an experienced fly fisher or just getting into the sport, this trip captures the joy of being on the water and the thrill of a tight line.

Watch as I navigate the trail, cast into clear pools, and hopefully hook into a few wild or stocked trout along the way. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoy fly fishing, local adventures, or just love seeing a beautiful creek come alive in the morning light.
